Static Electricity

Guys,
I believe that most of us have been "shocked" by static electricity from our max. I was just wondering if anyone knows any good way to prevent shocks?

You can get a EXEA Antenna which will prevent you from getting static electric shock.
It looks good also.

You can find stuff that remove static from clothing. It works (not for long however, about 1 week) but keep the can in the car and spray your seats regulary...

If you're talking about the electric shock you get when you get out of your car, you have two choices:

1. Get leather seats.

2. Grab the edge of the door, metal, and hold on until you have no remaining content with the cloth seats. This grounds you. As long as you hold on long enough, you'll find this works great.

Re: Re: Static Electricity

I've heard the static-removing antennae don't really work, but they do look cool.

Just think, what if your gassing up and you discharge the static electricity from your body to the pump nozzle and to the metal receptacle of the gas tank? Kind'a makes you worry...

Luckily I have leather seats

How bout the Ground straps anyone ever try those? They are a rubber strip that hooks up underneath your rear bumper and drags along the floor as you drive to rid the car of static electricity. 99NosMax has one on his car but never asked him if it works.

Could that be caught by something on the road? Seems kinda dangerous just to rid the car of static elect.
