HELP ME CAR NOISE
Ok so about a few wks ago I started to hear a noise coming from my car at 40+mph. Whenever I accelerate I would hear a noise and when I slow down to a full stop it goes away. So I took it to a shop by my house and they took a look at, we drove it and come to find out that my front right passenger wheel bearing was going bad and that I also needed to replace my rear brakes too and he wanted to charge me 375 for labor. So I went to another place and they told me 200 for labor for both sides after having it replaced, still I hear the same noise when I'm driving. The dude test drove it after he fixed it and said all he heard was my exhaust (I have a Greddy EvoII Exhaust). So we went and test drove it to make sure its not my exhaust when driving we turned the car off at 45+mph and all we heard was this noise coming from the back of the car. We checked the tires all tires are fine checked the back wheels for any play any signs of a wheel bear going bad and NOTHING. The dude told me just drive the car and if the noise gets louder come back and we'll check it again. After driving the car a few wks the noise got louder and louder like something wants to explode sometimes I hear it under me when driving and sometimes I hear it from the back idk. Some ppl tell me its the back bearings and some say it might be your transmission (I got a 5spd). Idk what to do if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it. THXS

It is tough to diagnose your noise. You need to get some more specifics. I've had noise from the rear of the car before (deck rattle) and I had someone drive my car while I laid down in the trunk. I was able to diagnose the noise location and other specifics much better this way. I suggest you do the same.
I doubt it is your rear wheel bearings as those hardly ever fail. It may be something rubbing on your wheel, or hub, or the brake rotor. Is the sound dependent on speed? Such as, does it get louder when you go faster?

Yea the faster I go the louder the noise gets. Like it feels like I got a cold air intake but I dont and yesterday I heard a noise coming from the back wheels when the car was parked. It sounded like a static coming from a phone if you know what I mean.

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me. It may be rare, but it absolutely happens. I just replaced mine a week ago. Yes, the rear. You should be able to hear it when the car is up on the hoist and turning/spinning the wheel by hand, but it's not a bulletproof way to diagnose it - it can still be bad.

rears are Cheap ($103 for a whole new hub/bearing assembly) from DaveB, and very easy to replace. I would do them and see if that fixes he problem.
Fronts are more of a PITA since they have to be pressed out of the spindle, which you need a shop to do usully...
Could also be tire noise. As tires wear they get louder. My Proxes4 are quiet when new, but under about 40% tread they sound like a 747 at full throttle...
