Conversion from HID to Halogen

I have a 03 maxima and my headlights were stolen this weekend. I wanted to convert the existing system over to regular halogen. Does anyone know what wire connection(adapter) I would need to plug into the existing wire plug that would've gone into the balast for the low beam bulb?

Find the 12V that goes to the ballast of the HID and run that to the back of the bulb. Run the ground to the ground and that should be it.

Just thinking about this..are you trying to put a Halogen bulb into the stock D2R housing? or are you swapping to the 00-01 style?

I'm trying to decide because the 03 headlight has a separate bulb and wiring for the high beam that can not be integrated into a dual filament halogen bulb in the 00-01 style. I was thinking of buying a aftermarket set of projectors which I could just simply plug in the high beam wire into the high beam bulb and wire the low beam into the low beam bulb.

wow cant believe these are still been stolen, most of us feel your pain. It can be done I did this on my car long time ago when they where getting stolen like crazy. One tool that you need to buy is a test light ,ones you get one one you can figure out more or less what wire is what, good luck.

Try $70 on ebay. I bought one for my little bro. Works perfectly.

BTW: Are you going to Halogens because of the fear of them being stolen again or do you prefer halogen?

Yeah people are still at it. An attempt was made on my passenger side last year. They were not able to get it off but did enough damage to the hood and fender. I was renting a small apartment in a kinda crap area off Boston until my new house was ready and I figure someone in the neighbor hood was watching me due to the fact I got home around 3 am that night and i figure somewhere between 4-6 they went after my car. Insurance paid 3500.00 to repair car..........Lots of lazy low lifes with no respect for peoples property, but I refuse to make changes to my car due to these idiots......
