Trying to convert my 5.5gen front calipers to 6th gen. In checking the forums Ive seen post that showed price ranged from $60-$70 per caliper, now nissan has pretty nearly tripled that price. I even called DaveB and he said this fact is true. Price is now $215 per caliper. What do you guys think about getting remanufactured through autozone/advanced/napa. Usual suspects (Cardone, Raybestos, etc...). Can't deal with the warping anymore, tried diff rotors, diff pads, still warps in my normal every day driving...time to go bigger.

 

I got mine from a junkyard 3 years ago, put on 50K+ miles, no problems.

Look for SE-R units, they might be cheaper.

my local autopoarts stores had them for $55 after core. i got mine used on here for like $150 shipped, rotors, calipers, and pads. reminds me that I need to get my rotors turned and get some new pads on there!

 

Is anyone making a 2-piece lightweight setup? Aluminum hat/directional vane rotor for the 5th or 6th gen?

We designed this custom Wilwood setup for the Focus, and could prototype something.

I paid $172 after taxes at a local junkyard for 05 calipers with 24k miles (supposedly). I think i paid kind of steep for just two calipers and caliper brackets.

And then i just got rotors, pads, and caliper paint from Autozone for free (hookup ;D).

 

There's a certain P/n I used when I ordered new caliper assemblies from ABC Nissan that included the caliper and the torque member. I know I ordered "04". I'll try to find the receipt and post the p/n for you...My price was $60-$70! For those buying the calipers from autozone I don't think you're getting the torque member with the caliper, just a caliper......You'll need the torque member to fit over the larger diameter rotors!

 

HTPerformance, 2 piece rotors do exist for Maximas but IIRC are $850 a pair.

I would suggest making a Wilwood kit utilizing 6th gen 12.6" rotors like Fastbrakes (SL4/6 calipers)?

4yrs, the price has definitely gone up since then, thanks for looking for the part number, but I am fairly certain it will yield the same results I found.
