Safe to put oem headers and precats back? ***pics***

Im such a retard...I wanted to take my headers off and put on the OEM ones so I kept the manifolds and the precats in my trunk for a few days and well...when I opened my trunk just now heres what I saw:

The precat is ruined...Im guessing the screen rubbed with another exhaust component. You can even see the white powder on my trunk mat..that was part of the precat .

Is it safe to put them back on the car though or should I just leave the cattmans on? Im worried the rest will deterioriate and somehow get sucked into the engine or even more backpressure would build up. Opinions, thoughts? I know it was stupid to just throw the parts in the trunk like that...lesson learned

While damaged it should be fine. just pull out the loose chunk and put it on. Nothng will be sucked INTO the engine because of this. Why are you putting the stock junk on BTW?

You lost low end with headers? Thought it was suppose to free up power all across the rpm?

Yes i do, I wanted to see if there was a legitimate reason reason why i shouldn't purchase a set for myself.

Now that i know it's not a fitment issue or they arent causing a CEL, are you selling them since you are taking them off? Do you have a 5 or a 5.5 gen?

headers give you crazy top end power but take away low end...not much but a noticeable amount. After 3k its a beast
