Does Anyone know?

Why the positive battery cable has a fuse on it and what it is for? I am having a connection problem with the assembly that holds that fuse. Also, if anyone knows that the assembly is called and what the part number is. Thanks

When you shorten the positive wire to the chassis you'll learn . It is supposed to blow preventing wire from melting insulation and starting a fire.
