Man I'm sorry for your loss. I hope your insurance gives you what you deserve. And that they catch the ******* who did this.

The alarm was set, but they cut the battery cable. Most likely broke a window before to get to the battery, since there was no damage to the hood/grill area. Looks like they punched in the lock on the trunk and started to cut the trunk-found the cutting tool where the back seat used to be, but I'm sure all the evidence has been destroyed by the flames/water. That was the first thing I noticed when I looked inside the car. I swear, I hate people and I'm afraid to get another maxima or anything nicer than a Chevy Aveo

Sucks. Probably random thing. Some punks were running around the Dallas area torching cars. Burned 25-30. Cops didn't start doing anything until a detective's car (unmarked) was torched.

I can't believe someone would actually do that... (Then again, I have no faith in humanity 90% of the time). I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

God DAMN. That's horrible man, if you ever find who did this I'm sure the entire org in the surrounding area will be there with breaker bars, jack handles and baseball bats ready to back you up. I can't express how much stuff like this pisses me off.

I would seriously check to see if there are any security cameras in the area, like people already stated. That really sucks...if I found out who did that, I would beat them nearly lifeless. Good luck to ya...

This really sucks, sorry about the car.
You sure it wasnt electrical or a cigarette ash. burn patterns look like the doors and windows were closed. I dont see an jealous boyfriend popping your locks to set your car on fire. If a window was broken first, the door would be burned lower on the side, not just the top of the door frame.
Either way, it still sucks.
