Question about my air filter

I am a noob and i was wondering if this could be hurting my performance. it used to have the jwt pop-charger but previous owner threw filter away and i dont kno what he did here. i am gonna get the place racing cai but i need to save up first but want it to work good for the meantime.

it does a lot to the performance. the ECU reads air temp to decide how many fuel to be mixed into the air.

You got two options. You can leave it plugged into the stock air scoop.

Or you could tie strap it next to the intake like how I use to have on my WeaponR Dragon intake. (Lower circle)

Instead of tie strapping it next to the intake, I put it inside the filter. Is that ok or is that hurting performance? Sorry to thread jack.

Hm I don't think so. You'll get a nice roar though.
