Replaced Cylinder #3 Coils
Just replaced my cylinder #3 coil today. Called DaveB ($85 with shipping) on Monday and received it Thursday Replacing the coils were easier then I thought, it was a btch leaning all the way back to take it out tho. Super back pains now ... advise to stretch before doing so. Anyways, I was wondering ... does the tip of the ignition coil have some sort of liquid on it? After mistakenly holding the hold on the tip (not the top part), I felt some kind of oil on it. Was not sure what kind of oil it was but I didn't notice it on the other coils I took out. Also, I tried the "take out each coil one by one to see if engine runs rough method", and it seems like the engine's reaction were all the same. After replacing the coil, the SES light was still on so I brought it to Autozone and I got the SAME exact codes . He took the light off and told me to come back when the code lights back on. Hopefully it doesn't ...
Sparknoted Version : There is some sort of liquid/oil on the tip of my coil that I took out. Is this normal? Or is something leaking inside?
