Appreciate

Ladies and gentlemen, this thread is dedicated to those who appreciate. To those who like the smaller and easier things in life and for those who never take anything for granted.

Our story starts on one brisk afternoon, around 1PM. As I am leaving class, I am looking forward to resuming the day with my normal activities which include going home for a quick bite and then straight to work. As many .org members on this site, I grab my keys from my jacket. Then, yes as many .org members do, I press the 'Unlock' button on my nifty keyless entry remote. With a smile on my face as wide as Stewie's head, I sit inside and let my posterior adjust to the freezing leather. The usual prrrr of the 3.0L is always a symphony to my ears. Yet today, the Gods had another plan for me. As I shifted into reverse, I felt hesitation. I felt.....something satanic. After coming back down to what many call Earth, I realized that I wasn't receiving any response from the reverse gear. Did it shift? I'm pretty sure it did. Did the car move? I can honestly say it didn't. I'm, what many call, 'pissed.'

P0720 for some time, but thought nothing of it. First start up of the morning and first gear slip...thought nothing of it.

So one week later, a call to Dave B, $130 sensor the size of an average sized pinky toe, and my Maxima is still sitting in my driveway wondering what to expect. The sensor goes in tomorrow.

Can this be saved? Can I get back into reverse? Err...yea something like that.

Moral of the story fine people, appreciate the smaller things in life.

*BTW a big thanks to Dave B for the revolution sensor. If this works, dinner's on me (no homo).

** And Obama '08.

Thank you.

Well, do you keep your cat paw charm in your glove compartment? I heard it adds a 2D6 bonus on all luck rolls, and increases the chance of having hot girls wanting to hitch a ride with you by .3%!

I'm like an educated Lupe.

And for those who care, the reign of the 5th gen Maxima at the household has ended.

Good riddance fellow drivers, until next time.

For a guy biting his username from a teen happy movie, I give you 2 points.

Maybe King Maxima will find more appreciative subjects. As for you, dear Sir, may I recommend following vehicle as more suited to your taste.

As for your attempt to discredit the epicness of my username.... it FAILED.
