all fuses good, pulled a ecu from the junk yard, fired right up.

Last night driving home, it was pouring. It hit the corner of the roof near the back, gave me 50 strokes and 3 heartattacks

Did it leave a burn mark? Is it just the electronics that don't work? Pics?

now go play the lottery....

because you have more chances of winning the lottery then lightning hitting a moving car.

Anyways, yeah, dayum, that's CRAZY! I can't beleive that, only the 2nd time I've heard of a nissan ecu going bad. Give it a week, I'm curious if you're going to have other problems stemming from that.

Technically nothing should have really happened. IIRC from physics class, cars work as Faraday Cages (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday_cage). I remember as a kid driving on the highway with my parents, and a lightning struck right in front of us. It felt like it lifted the entire front end of the car up (86 Mercedes S500, WAY HEAVY car lol) but everything was fine.

had a 97 F150 in my shop about 6 months ago, (living in FL, we see lightning) It got struck, but didn't drive off like the Dub did. Needed a whole new PCM and you could see a blue streak down the antenna to the wheel.
from that video

That sucks. Hopefully that is all, I was actually more suspected and worried about wiring getting damaged, causing little problems that were near impossible to track down and causing you to buff off the lightning strike marks and trade the thing in. Here's hoping.

If lightning struck and then your car died. Does it start?

What do you meen by nothing works, I would think if the car got hit by lightning it would fry all the electronics in the car.. The car would then be totalled.

It just fried my ecu 2 injectors and a maf..... some bulbs also but everything so far seems fine , thank god it did not fry the bcm or set off the airbags, i have no check engine light and she seems like nothing happened, if something did , iam sure it will pop up and give me a headache till i figure it out, after the hit i was dead on the road, had to push it to the side and get her towed home.
