LTB with headers (pics)

I have been asked time and time again how did I get an LTB on with headers, well since I had to get it repaired (see LTB carnage thread) I decided to take some snap shots (3mp camera phone sorry).

Here is how to do it:
-First bend the LTB completely straight
-then fit it to the car and see where you will need to make the new bend at the y-pipe its about 45* bend by the pipe. (see pics)
-You will then have to cut the LTB in half and bolt the two ends to the car
when you go to join the two ends back together it will have about a 1" gap between the two ends, so we used a 3/8" to 1/2" bolt to fill the gap and welded it in place.

The car feels great again, I love the tight steering feel and I'm happy that my good friend Sam could do this in his spare time.

Interesting. Possibly a stupid question, but could you do this with a 4pt?

I don't see why not, you would have to cut off the bars to the two back points. Then just do what I did and then weld those four bars all back together, it would be quiet a bit of work, but if you find a shop willing to do it go for it. This is much easier on a lift

They made a huge difference. Worth every penny, the best way to describe it is they don't let every bump resonate through the car, like a bump on the passenger side is only felt on the passenger side. I would reccomend it to anyone who can get a hold of them (seeing as he is now stopping production on them)
