I dont mean to wine to you guys just gotta vent somehow. I just get tired of paying good money for something and getting messed up stuff.

I had a extra hanger welded into mine too......easy fix. And I love the sound and looks of the exhaust, I've had mine on for a year or so.

Really sorry to hear yours got bent up during shipping because it's really a nice piece. Good luck w/UPS

I'd like to see that too actually, because mine doesn't rattle and I don't have any extra hangers, just hose clamps around all 3 rubber hangers.

he lifted the exhaust to weld near the crossmember then the b pipe started banging but its all set now,no banging at all and it was only 20 bucks.

Dang! I have a hydraulic dolly jack, stands and extra scissor jacks from both maximas and I STILL can't wriggle the stock muffler assy out!

Any tips? I'm about to drive my open exhausted car to the muffler shop to finish the job if I can't figure this out.

Try a different jack point to get the car higher and also you have to rotate the rear section a little towards the passenger side to get the flange on the rear section to clear the "tunnel".

Thanks. I got the OEM exhaust off using your mount point tips. I'll have the Megan on shortly. Kinda sad I can't do too much testing of it today due to the snow storm here in the Finger Lakes of Hell, NY.

Heck I'm lucky my 245's take me ANYwhere, let alone across town @ 18-25mph... Traction control + lots of FWD winter experience FTW.

Has anyone else tried loosening the 5 rear axle bolts. It lets the rear axle drop a little to help give you some room to sneak it out. Ive done this like ten times and it worked great and I didnt have to jack the car up rediculously high.

Well... Installed. I likey the barely louder than stock sound.

Installation was pretty easy after I jacked the car up properly! No fitment issues here.

Idk... I'll chalk it up to a can of beans for now.

I'll add a better vid some time soon. The car will already be warmed up, I'll be sure that there are no gasket leaks, and I'll have ascertained as to whether or not a GAB mod makes a Maxima run too rich.

Last edited by sixteenXnine; Dec 21, 2008 at 06:11 PM. Reason: needed more beans

Hope its not damage this time, and everything goes well with the install. I got a MR B-Pipe with stock Axle and I'm having exhaust vibration issues. Hope to get this resolved tomorrow at a muffler shop.

my max is in my boys garage for the winter.sorry , but if u take it to any muffler shop, put it up on a lift and move the exhaust around ull be able to tell where its banging. theres 2 bends in the b pipe and i got 1 hanger welded at each bend.

Yeah I beleive the b pipe is the problem it seems to me the resonater part the pipes come out from the resonater at a angle and I think thats whats causing the issues. Yes you can put more hangers in to solve the problem but I think if these angles were corrected there wouldnt be any issues.

I got my replacement exhaust today. It has a dent in the same exact place as the first one but its not visible when on the car. The first exhaust had one of the tips mashed. The new one is fine anyone else experience this type of damage. I think the packaging is **** poor by megan.

I'm also in for some pics of the extra hanger. Mine rattles once in a while.

I also have problems where the exhaust tip is burning up the paint on my rear stillen lip.

Extra Hanger Pics

So my issue was the B-Pipe was sitting on the hanger that sticks out so I was getting vibrating issues inside the cab. The muffler shop cut off the hanger and welded a new one on the other passenger side of the car...
