2002 Nissan Maxima GLE (New Member)
Hello to all,
I recently purchased an '02 Maxima GLE, 50k miles, Auto, from my mother (original owner) and just wanted to post some of my info on it.
I bought from my parents just after I sold them a 2004 Cadillac Deville that had just under 5k on the odometer. So in return for the great deal I gave them on the Caddy, the favor was returned on this Maxima. It replaces my '00 Pontiac Grand Prix GT coupe (for sale) and w/ the Maxima being a sedan, it really comes in handy in terms of our first addition to the family. She is 6 mo. old
As far as service, the oil was changed every 3k at a quick change and I had a UOA done @ blackstone as soon as I got it home.
I now have M1 5w-30 w/ an M1 filter. I am hoping to be able to do an extended oil change interval, seeing as how my wife will be putting 20k+ on it a year (mainly interstate).
The tranny was replaced, by the dealership, under warranty just before it expired.
