Does anyone think the six speed trans would fit on a 20th annv?

 

It would fit, but you will most likely run in to ECU problems (which won't let the car run/start).

why would you get ECU problems, look at the 5-spd spd conversions the 4th gen guys are doing, some of them are using their auto ECU's. with a standard if it starts your golden pretty much. you might have a check engine light on due to a sensor, like the reverse sensor or something but the car will start, now if you want to swap engines...............................

 

Call one of the head mechanics at a nissan dealership and discuss with him the theory of it…but don't tell him your about to do it…just ask if it's humanly possible

 

Some differences... VTC, electronic throttle cable, unknown electrical changes, etc.

2k-2k1 auto/manual swap shouldn't be a problem, but 2k-2k1 swap with 2k2 might be.

All speculation though...

 

What are we looking at dollar wise if I wanted to swap out my auto tranny for a 5 spd one? And who would perform this? The dealer? Sorry..homey don't dare mess with stuff like this 2000 SE
