WORKLOG: Fiberglass Eyelids

I am going to be fiberglassing some custom eyelids this week and next. I can tell from this test run that I am going to have to make the shell with the headlights OFF, but I am going to be prototyping the first one from this. Should cure in a few hours, we'll go from there.

I want to change the lines a bit and try to make it look more aggressive, this is attempt #1 of ??, wouldn't be the first time where it doesn't work out as planned, but there is no harm in trying!

ATTEMPT #1: Fail
ROOT-CAUSE ANALYSIS: Lines improperly formed due to rushing

We'll pick this one up later on this week or next at the latest. Car goes in to the shop on Wednesday, at which point in time I will bring the headlights home for AE treatment. This will also give me the opportunity to take my time with the FG application.

Stay tuned!

02-03 headlights would be easier to make eyelids for, just saying.

Yes it was, my friend who makes the 5/5.5 gen eyelids on ebay said the same thing.

Alright, let's kick this back off. Car is in the shop, so now I will have a chance to do this CORRECTLY. I am shooting for a different line than what you can find on eBay; I am going to be starting the line AFTER the turn light portion of the headlight and give an aggressive angle. Here's some quick shot of the glassing. I am going to try and have the shell trimmed and everything cleaned up by the end of the weekend.
