Clear Coner installl question
I am new here. Hello to all. I have seen alot of your cars and am very impressed.
I bought a 2001 Nissan Max SE, grey lustre, with a frost leather interior.
I have been reading all the threads though and didn't see this question posted anywhere so here it goes.
I just bought some clear corners from http://www.courtesyparts.com/ (which I just got yesturday) and was checking out the "How 2's" on some sites and found a difference.
On Maximadriver.com it doesn't mention anything about using silicon gel to reseal the lights, but on
http://www.5thgenmaximas.com/index2.html it says
"Before you begin I recommend everyone do a reseal between the clear plastic and grey plastic on the lenses due to moisture problems everyone has had. I did this, and hope it will fix the issue. Make sure to not get any on the lense parts that do show to the outside of the car. You do not need much. Use your fingers to spread all around the lense. Let dry for about 1-2 hrs before reinstalling on car."
Was wondering which is correct? I don't know these people personally or if they post here, so no disrespect I was just wondering what I need to do to enssure my lights work and aren't damaged after I install them. Any insight would be helpfull, thanks.
I also found a cool website while surfing the net...so check it out.
My next mod is Indiglow Pedals.... http://www.streetbeatonline.com/speedglopedals.html
Thanks

Well the silicone is supposed to help with the moisture problem some have had with theirs. I didn't do it, I put them on in the summer no moisture buildup inside yet...will have to wait till rain season starts though.

I sealed mine when I bought them, and it would probably help to do so, cause when the rainy season starts (which is winter for us), like Ludacris said, it'll help to keep the moisture out. So I recommend sealing them.
