Steering wheel vibrations
Hi everyone I'm new to the list. I just bought a used 2000 Maxima GXE 5 speed 29,500 miles on the odo. I really like the car, anyways on to the question.
When I'm on the highway doing about 65-70mph and I apply the brakes the steering wheel shakes some until the car slows down to ~55mph. It worries me a little, I wanted to know if anyone else had a similiar problem or know what the problem is. Other than that the car is solid and quiet.
Thanks for the help!

Ok, thanks guys. Sorry I didn't check the TSB first. Next time I have a question I'll check there first.
Thanks again.

Dont let the fool just resurface them by taking them off the car, have the rotors resurfaced while they are on the car, like the TSB says.
In my case in my old 2000 maxima, he took them off and resurfaced then, and 5k miles later the problem was back.

I thought you felt warped rotors in the petal not the steering wheel?

I had the same problem, but in a pretty severe form. When braking at high speed, you will feel vibrations both in the wheel and the pedal.
When I said 100+, I speak from experience. Had to brake hard 1-2 times and the wheel almost snapped my arms off... swapped the rotors for Stillen drilled ones and the problem is gone. Stopping power is about the same as stock, just the warping doesn't happen anymore.
