what wheel stud do i need

ok so im going to add 15 mm spacers on the rear. I found some ichiba studs at option auto but not sure which ones to get

http://www.optionsauto.com/products.asp?dept=7227

so do i need the ones that are 14mm knurl or the 13mm knurl, remember these will be going on the rear. Also the im looking at the 50mm studs. Can i use 10-15mm spacers with these. Meaning using the stock lugnuts say with a 10mm spacer will it screw right to the wheel and tighten it or will it bottom out before it hits the wheel. they say 50mm is just the length of the treaded part. What is the threaded length of our stock lugs, 42 mm or is the the total length of the stud

Most nismo parts are NOT worth what you pay. For that price you can get ARP wheel studs.

Front and rear knurl sizes are the same IIRC
Hell they better be, i bought 4 or 5 at the same time and used both on the rears and the fronts. I haven't had any issues.

ok so wait... we need the 14mm knurl, right? And I made some ~8mm spacers out of old rotors....so I was thinking I'd go with the 45mm length...but I have open ended lug nuts so 50mm should be fine too, right?

I'm a 4th gen...but I would assume it's the same. Can anyone prove otherwise?

Nismo maybe overpriced but they can take that continuous beating even while you're sleeping....

yea if you have an open ended nut you can use any length.
i was curious because i am using the acornm style and dont want to bottom out the lug before it secures the rim to the hub

I don't doubt that, but I think ichibas will be plenty strong for me. Not to mention, the whole reason I made 8mm spacers from old rotors was to save money....so it would be silly to spend an ungodly amount of money on nismo studs that are stronger than I need. I've never broken a stud in my life, and I wouldn't think Ichibas are weaker than OEM....so I think I'll be ok. I hope....

Yeah that's tough....luckily ( I guess you could say) I had to get tuner lugs when i got my new wheels, so I just went with open ended just in case...now I'm glad I did!

I think if you stick within the ranges specified on that site, you should be fine. There is a decent amount of room left in the stock nuts with stock studs....so try to lengthen the studs the same amount as the spacers' thickness and you should be fine. Does anyone know the OEM stud length though?

you could try going into a parts store that isnt busy or has good customer service and ask a guy to pull a stud so you can measure it.
