Does anyone know if a the HU in a 2k2 (in dash changer) can be swapped for a 2k HU? I'm trying to add an iPod integration kit to my wife's car and none of them will work on the 2k2/2k3 in dash cd changer HU. I know someone is going to suggest that I just get an aftermarket HU but wife would like her car to look stock. Thanks in advance for your help.

 

get an aftermarket head unit. Why won't the integration kit work on your 2K2 deck?

 

The reason they won't work is b/c the 02-03 headunits have an in-dash 6cd changer, versus the external cd-changer for the 00-01. The USASpec iPod adapter requires the use of the external cd-changer port, which the 02-03 decks do not have.

I don't know for sure, though, if the head unit from an 01 will fit in your 5.5gen.
