I wouldn't dare take my car to jiffy lube or ezlube. I wonder which jiffy lube mentioned in kansas city was the one at fault, there's one just down the street from my house. I change my own oil and for any other services I can't do on my own, I take it to a trusted mechanic.

Last time I was at jiffy lube they told me my [new] air filter needed replacement and my airbox was broken [GAB mod]. I try to do everything myself nowadays.

Guys i will tell you what i worked for valvoline ant an oil change center and all they did was push extras and all this and that. Dont listen to them if you know any better. most of the suff that they want to do is neither required or not due at the time. Just be careful and dont let them pressure you into anything.

I was the victim of such an incident and made them pay for the damage.

Funny how Honda, Nissan, GM, and Ford official memos warn about damage from engine flushes and injector cleaning, yet their own dealers still recommend/advertise/push these services. So it's not just the chain shops that are guilty.

This is why I am glad that one of my good friends owns his own shop, and does most of the wrenching himself.

This is still my favorite Jiffy Lube scam:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiCAJ8ULnaI

That was from a few years ago, this station really has a thing for Jiffy Lube although it's a good thing for consumers that they keep up on these Jiffy Lube scams.

NEVER take your car to any of those type places even for something as simple as an oil change.

I've taken my car to Jiffy Lube, but that was on a sunday when I had to get it done. And you watch your car as though your life depends on it.

I still lawled when the guy told me to replace the air filter. Uh dude, K&N sticker mean anything to you?? But then they still point to some computer screen which says RECOMMENDED items to change. Uh no dude, only oil today.

Ive always taken my vehicles to jiffy lube type places. Never had a problem. After doing the GAB and OSCAI I just tell the guys there I want an oil change and thats it, Do not touch the air filter, its a K&N and I just cleaned it.

Old news....that investigation was about 6 years ago.

Nevermind, this is different. They did a investigation on them years back about them charging money for work not done.

Why are so many people adding like into sentences where it does not belong?

Code:
"They were like the engine did not turn off so we like changed the oil with the engine like running."

You might want to use proper punctuation when calling people out on their grammar. You are missing a few quatation marks.

I always take my car to Precision Tune in Temecula. I tell them I want the oil changed and not to touch anything else. Any monkey can change the oil. I prefer the PT monkeys, I have been getting mine changed there for over 7 years, no problems.
LIKE, YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYIN.
