ok looks like I'm going to have to wait for the dealer to locate a 2002 SE loaded. They're evidentally hard to come by -- especially the gray lustre color for some reason.

I'm leaning toward gray lustre, anyone want to show off any pics they have of their baby (2002) in that color? I particularly want to see how the rear SE tails look on that color.

I have super black now, but gray lustre was my favorite color on the 2000-2001.

yea... I think there's still a difference between the SE and GLE/GXE tails, isn't there? I should have paid more attention at the dealer, but I was really just focusing on SE!

 

No there isnt a difference betweent the tails on the 2K2..they are all the same.

 

But I put the 2K2 tails on my Gray Lustre AE, specifically because I think they look very good on that color...particularly if you have put rear clear side markers on the car. If it stops raining for just a minute or two here, maybe I'll have a chance to take some pictures.

 

Ya..take a pic if you could..I have a '01 SE grey lustre and am considering putting on the 02 tails. Have you ever thought of clearing out the amber part of the tails and having it clear like the 01's? Do you think its possible.

 

One passed me on the way home from work today (I slowed down to let it pass). Rear view was very nice. I think it may be the best color for the 2002. Best color IMO was definately black for 2000/2001, but probably not the 2002. I say "probably" because I haven't actually seen a black 2002 yet.

Gray Lustre sure is one of the best colors for the Maxima and very rare also. One dealer told me there were only 2 GL GLEs out of the total >50 cars coming to bay area in october. I had to wait for this baby for ~3 weeks.

these are about a week old, NOW my 2k2 has 2k1 "MAXIMA" & "SE" badges--the new badges bring out the tails better IMHO
