HELP PLEASE!!

I have a real dilemma with my 02 maxima, and was hoping someone could help me. My maxima has the symptoms of a bad MAF sensor (woun't go pass 2500 rpm) but I just replaced the MAF with a new one from Dave B, and upon start up, it's still doing the same thing. This is the 2nd MAF sensor i've changed in less than 3 months, so could the problem be something deeper than just the MAF sensor?

Have you checked the wiring to the MAF?

forgot to mention, mods include just hot shot headers. Primary o2 sensors are plugged, secondary o2 are just bundled up. Could this play a factor in what's going on with the car?
