What is this connector??

I just got my accident fixed in the back, and they replaced my trunk.. I got my lock rekeyed today, and i saw that i had this random connector just hanging

Opening my trunk with the button, inside release, and keys work.. But i have no idea what it is or what its for.. any ideas?

Looks like it goes onto the lock itself.. but when its on there, the arm can't move the rod when i put my key in there...

It snaps right over that cylinder where they key goes in the back side, match up the marks and snap it on.

It snaps on, but it actually stops the arm from moving freely and opening the trunk with the key :P

Did you try flipping it upside down?

That's where it's supposed to go, that disables the alarm when you use the key in the trunk.
