NEW STICKIES in Progress - Need Your Help

Okay guys I'm working on updating and reorganizing the Stickies. I'll be adding newer discussions/information as well as rearranging some of the old stuff.

However, I have a full time job and wife and two kids, so I can't cover everything. So in the meantime, if you have any good bookmarks, information or links to add to the categories, please feel free to post them here. We have TONS of good info in the old How Tos and FAQs, I just haven't gotten to them yet.

If you think I missed any categories, please feel free to add them too.

Remember that this should be 5th Gen specific, and for more advanced, general discussions, we still have the other subforums like Audio, Handling, All Motor, Detailing, etc.

Thanks everyone.

EDIT - doesn't help that the Search is down right now.

Puppetmaster, I've noticed the work-in-progress going on in the 5th gen forums, and just want to give you props for your hard work.

I have several folders full of bookmarks (hopefully all of them will work) and I will post them here or PM you working links shortly.

Thanks. This will be an ongoing effort, so just bear with me.

Anyway, these threads:

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...-pictures.html

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...-pictures.html

Would you guys rather have absolutely no discussion, and just pictures? Or allow some discussion?

I feel like the discussions are going to get cluttered amongst the pictures after a while.....

Or someone suggested requiring people to post information as to where they bought their stuff at minimum to cut down on some questions. I felt like that was something that people could ask via PM though.

www.nissan4u.com instead of downloading the FAST software you can look up the part numbers for your nissan vehicle.

I think lots of people would appreciate a retrofit/HID/headlight sticky there always seems to be a lot of discussion on that.

I think an updated parts list and vendors would be great. The one sticked now has many places that have since gone out of buisness. I've got a bunch of different vendors bookmarked if needed.

Thanks, but it doesn't work for me for some reason.

That list is such a mess I wasn't even sure where else to begin but start over, haha.

Anyway, thanks for the input all of you and PM/email me any links or write ups you have for your respective suggestions. In time, I also hope to go through the existing Stickies to fish out everything we need. Thanks.

Is it wishfull thinking to say that pic posters should copy questions to their pic posting, respond to them there and request the original posted question be deleted? This would keep all content with the pic, and make for a cleaner thread.

No discussion is best, as they should be reference threads for pics and links. If people have a question, they can search for it or follow the links to the corresponding threads.

So far we have new picture only threads for the following:

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...-pictures.html

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...-pictures.html

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...-pictures.html

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...ed-thread.html

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...cs-thread.html

I know the dropped thread and the rims thread are close, but I'd rather keep that information separate.

What else would y'all like to see?

I think it would be nice to have a list of all diy maintenance and the mileages for them. Mileages for all general maintenance would be nice too.
