Locking Differential?

How does one determine if a manual transmission has a locking differential? Are automatics offered in a locking differential version? If so, how does one determine that an automatic has a locking differential?

Thanks.

Pop the hood and look at the transaxle code on the firewall. If it ends in "H" the car has HLSD and if it ends in "A" it does not.

I'm closing this thread but you can refer to this one:

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...r-has-lsd.html

If you search for "HLSD" and restrict it to the 5th Gen forum, you'll find a number of good past discussions on this.
