p1147 02 + stealership

First off, this is my first post and so far this site has helped me buy and maintain my car for the little time I have owned it. I have a 2k2 6sp with 75k miles. 2 days ago the SES light came on and I took it to autozone and 1147 comes up. I searched a little and I guess its the bank 1 sensor 2 O2 sensor. I called around and the cheapest place for an 02 sensor was autozone at $115(this doesn't include cheapo universals).
However, I call the stealership(because info there is accurate and free) and they say that all cali spec cars should replace 2 of the sensors when one goes out. Then they said I need to reprogram the ECU after. They say this is 2.5 hours labor(sure it is) and there 02's are 190 a piece.
My question has 2 parts. Do I need to get both 02 sensors? and is the reprogram absolutely needed? I want to do the 02 sensors myself because its about time I learned these things.
Thanks in advance for all help.

Replace the o2 in question and be done with it.

www.oxygensensors.com

The OE sensor is 95, universal is 59 bucks.
The OE sensor will come with the correct cable length & electrical connections.

thanks for the reply. I know its minor but i'm learning. Is B1 sensor 2 the blue one towards the front bumper by the engine bay? or the black one in the back by the engine bay closest to inside the car. or is it down by the cat? ( haven't been down there to see the colors) Thanks for your patience. Also, the dealership said the light wont turn off after i replace the sensor until after i drive around a while(so how do i know its fixed until a day later) and nobody will erase my codes. He won't tell me which sensor it his because he "wouldn't have a job if he did"
