y pipe and headers from 3.5

my buddy has a 3.5 swap on his 97 max and he said that he would sell me his headers and warpspeed y pipe and the custom 2.5 in exhaust for $250 will this setup fit my car?

The headers and ypipe will fit perfectly. The catback will likely be too short but close. Why would he need a new engine lol.

Actually I believe the '00 (depending on emissions) has EGR, but block it off and good to go.

Assuming he wanted to keep EGR functionality, he would have to add the bung, yes.
