6000k?

I am looking to get headlights but not HID'S. I want to get some h4 bulbs with a hint of blue i don't want them to be a deep blue. Would these be ok on the max? Or to blue so i could get pulled over. If you have 6000k bulbs not HID'S can you post them. Not looking to spend a lot on them, and if know of somewhere please leave me a link. Thanks

6000k bulbs are meant to be used in conjuunction with a ballast/hid kit.

And 6000k is pure white. But if you put 6000k bulbs on a halogen setup, they will only be a little brighter than the stock yellowish light. Just go with an HID kit. They are $80 bucks now....

U gotta understand that HIDs come in Kelvin(k) rating, regular bulbs don't.

Most halogen bulbs generally emit light within the 3200K range. However, there are bulbs that can produce whiter light and with a blue tint can mimic the look of HID's. Philips produces such bulbs as the CrystalVision Ultra, which fall into this category:

Don't waste your money on that "like HID Look" there's no comparison between HID and Halogen. You may wanna invest in some HD higher wattage Wagners or some 130/90 watt H4 halogens from JC whitney for about $15 ea and during my personal test they were just as bright as $75-$80 PIAA's and they are offered in regular, yellow, xexon white, xenon blue... I run these setup in my D21 hardbody Hella 2 piece headlight assy for 5yrs no problem nor bulb replacement! For the other person who stated halogens aren't rated in Kelvins that's not true... super bright halogens usually range 2800-3200K and the light coverage is more thorough but not as crisp or white as HID! Just take it from me stay away from the super blue tints. The more color you have in a halogen bulb the less light it actually puts on the ground! So the yellowish/regular halogen may provide better light output than lets say "Wanna Be 5000K HID Blue" halogen bulbs. What's even worse is once the ground is wet there's hardly any light visible from those "Wanna Be's" or "Like HID Look". I got a box full of some high "dollar PIAA GT's they suck, and everything you can think of.... Silverstars, Hybrid, Illumanics, etc....If you want the HID look then go HID.... like stated above $80 seems to be the norm now! But if you're on a budget go Wagner or JC Whitney!

My "6000K" headlights. (4th gen)

$10 off eBay. Better output then stock bulbs. Almost a year with no problems.

What do you guys think about these? I've read good and bad regarding LED headlight lamps. Most of the bad surrounds the amount of heat that is generated? Not sure about that, but I'd be interested to now if anyone is running any of these and if they are a decent alternative to the HID kit?

But what about pure blue h4's, i know they wont be that bright, but are they a blue/white bulb or straight up blue? I seen people on the road with straight up blue lights and i don't want that.

What about these? http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...p?Ntt=h4+bulbs

You start two threads. You're given good answers and you're still asking a garbage question?
