strut mount question.. i know its been beat to death

My question is if this would need replacing and cause noise.

Where the strut rod goes thru the rubber on the mount i noticed if i push down on the car the rubber has some movement. it looks like it flexes about 2-4 mm. i was curious if this is normal or if it is worn and shouldnt move at all. i have 75000 on the car

I don't notice any movement in my car when I push down. On my 97, both mounts went out (about a year apart). What caught my attention was a clunk when I made a sharp turn. I heard it more at slower speeds (below 20) than faster speeds. How I found out it was the mount was that I was pushing and pulling the car side to side and noticed that the bolt on the top of the strut was moving something like a half inch on the one mount and rock solid on the other. I then noticed that the nut on the strut rod was not in the center of the mount as it sat there.
