Is my radio going out????

so is my radio going out or what??? every now and then the radio unit will switch from CD to the radio (all by itself). It skips alot on the 1st track of any CD i put in....even brand spanking new ones. Also the steering wheel controls dont always work (its rare); have to bang the wheel once or twice to get it going. Any advice? are there any good replacements that will still work with the steering wheel controls?

Thanks!

Same thing happens to me with the cd/radio switching. As for the steering controls, if its below 40degrees F, they don't work until the interior heat warms up the cabin.

BTW, are your headlights smoked? What'd use to do it? How's the light output? I saw the pic in another thread and thought they might look good on my '01 sterling mist

I'll tell ya what, I've got real issues with forum search features in general. Why? Because most of them suck...very irrelevant hits.

for example, type in "radio problems" and the first thread that pops up is "04 maxima or 03 Lincoln ls v8?", and not a single thread on the first page of the results has anything to do with a radio

Anyways.....
