p1147 came on. erased it about 2 weeks ago and it never came back on. Autozone gave me the wrong sensor so should I go get my money back or get the right sensor? car should idle at 750 but does it at 600 often and my gas has not gone down that much.

Sure, get your money back on the wrong sensor, but hold on to that refund. You will be spending it on the correct sensor when that light reappears.

And it will. Oxygen sensors are known for this.

Exactly right. I had a P0037 (low voltage bank 1 rear O2) come on back in September. Played the reset game for a couple weeks, then it went out and stayed out. Until last month that is and it comes back on within about 10 miles of resetting it.

probably will come back but there is a possability that it was just a ghost code if it only came on once. I would return the sensor and then buy the right one if the light comes back on.

I recommend replacing both downstreams.

yeah you said that in another thread. I think the manual says to do it too. I figure its because when one goes the other is not far behind. I rather wait until the other one goes...

Actually, it is because there is an ECU reflash that goes along with the replacement of both sensors. Not sure if the reflash works properly unless you replace both.

Not reset, REFLASH. There is a TSB out on this. Replace both rear O2s than get an ECU program reflash which updates the software. Kind of like when you get a window's update.

The previous owner of my car replaced both sensors, but did not get the reflash. After a couple hundred miles, the O2 code popped and would't go away. I went to Nissan, payed $100 for the reflash and haven't had a problem since.
