I Rear ended someone.

The tables have turned.. I wasn't paying attention at a turn because i was waiting behind a car, and i had thought the car in front had gone already or farther up.. and i hit him at 15-20mph..

Luckily, nothing internal is damaged.. and the bumper is still in the place where it needs to be. i think it had something to do with my car being lowered..

But the question is... Should i just do a 5.5Gen front end swap? or should i just buy a 5th gen bumper and slap on my AE lip..

Obvious Parts i looked at
Hood
Bumper, since the Grill is cracked..
Bumper support looks a little bent but it doesn't look bad at all.
Foglights are uncracked
Headlight mounts and clips are still good, no cracks or anything.

I'd get the 5.5 gen front end, but that might be more $ and more time consuming to find whatever you need.

Just get a 5th gen bumper and grille.

I just bought a pair of 5.5 headlights. I'd definitely buy them if you can afford them. I can't install them yet b/c it's snowing outside and I have nowhere else to install them atm. They should look good on a 5th gen AE though!

I sourced a replacement Hood from Advanced Auto.. prolly aftermarket OEM replacement.. for 200.. The nearest and cheapest OEM one i found on car-part was like 350

I ment Hood^

i wouldn't bother with the conversion unless you have the extra $$ to do it.

If you have the $$$, do the conversion. If not, you can piece together a good look. Carbon fiber hood, projector headlights, customer grill etc.... and have you own unique look. IMO!

Since your headlights are fine, you should just stick with 5th gen front end. Getting 5.5 is expensive because you need to get the HID headlights, grille, fog lights, and of course a Stillen classic lip . IIRC, putting 5th gen headlight with 5.5 bumper are not really compatible because there will be a gap in between. AE FTW.

AE FTW ! ! I regret doing the 5.5 conversion after rear endeding somebody. This guy /\ got my AE lip and I still haven't gotten 5.5 lights. So like 2kMax said, I got gap galore since I still have my AE lights on.
