DTC 31 (P0100) issues...

And yes I have searched...

2002 Maxima 6-speed. Intake, SSIM, POP, TB coolant bypass, headers, exhaust, S-AFCII, O2 Sims...

MAF failed. Couldnt rev past 2300. Code scanner showed P0100. Replaced MAF with used MAF. Car started and ran fine but still had P0100 code. Reset ECU. Drove around for 1 hour. Shut car down for 30 minues. Went to start up, CEL is back on. Code P0100. Bypassed S-AFC (reconnected MAF directly). Reset ECU. Car started and ran fine. Drove for 30 minutes. Shut down for 2 hours. Started car back up. CEL is back on. Code P0100 again!

I know that there may be a slight possibility that the used MAF may be bad also. Is there a test prodedure I can use to check the wiring? Im a former gas and diesel tech and Im currently in the I.T. field so I do know how to use a DVOM. Imma look in the service manual for a pinout or test procedue for the MAF circuit. I dont wanna pay $169 for a new MAF if there is another issue that I need to be concerned about.

Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

OK... After reading thru the service manual, I believe my scanner may be lying to me...

031 is the code that the CEL gives me but my scan tool says P0100. WHAT THE HELL! Time for a new scan tool...

031 is for the O2 sensor on Bank 1. Bank 1 is cylinders 1-3-5, correct?
