Muffler Removal help!

How do you get the stock muffler off? My old one cracked and I'm sitting here with the new one and I cant get it off. Do you have to remove more pieces under the car or can you angle it through?

helppp lol

It's hanging by the hangers. Have you removed them?

You need to jack the car up about 3-4 feet in the air to get the axel-back over the rear beam.

It should be bolted by two bolts just over the rear beam, and hung on 3 hangers.

If you remove the rear passenger wheel you might have easier acces to the flange section

It might be rusted together...hammer and flat head screw driver to pry it.

I fit a 3" exhaust through there with no rubbing or bumping

Like I said, you need a lot of ground clearance to rotate the rear section up over the rear beam.

wtf you are god lol.

well i gotta go to work so i just bolted the cracked one back on.

the clamp that bolts the muffler to the next pipe just seems to big to get through the opening unless like someone else said, the car is really high in the air.

Jerkin

There should be 2 bolts that need removal then apply some brake fluid cleaner to clean & loosen the pipe with some sideway jerkin you should be able to remove the muffler!

No, it can be done with jack stands and a real jack! Do not support the rear axle, if you can't get it up (sounds familiar?) use a piece of wood on the jack for extra height! Or give your jack some Viagra/Extenz !
Two nuts at the flange and the three rubber hangars and 1 with a bolt in it! that's it!
