Carbon fiber trunk alignment.

Hey, so i finally installed my carbon fiber trunk a few days ago. I moved the lights, license plate, and trunk latches over to the cf trunk and got it aligned on both sides, so the spaces on the right and left side is even. But now when i close the trunk there is a space, as if its not closed all the way, but the latch does lock. how can i get rid of the gap? anyone have this problem?

also, what can i do about the trunk catepolting up when i press the trunk release button. I used bungee cords, but i don't know how long they will last.
