Timing advance important question ?!?!

I have been searching a lot and i found out the advancing ignition timing to 17 degree will really help the car? can u please give me some advice about it like where i can get it done with getting it recorded in car history, and how much it will cost, and what should i know about it like more info. Thanks

Here's another idea.

Go to Advanced Search, type in "timing advance", with the quotes, then limit it to search thread titles only and then 5th Gen forum only. If that's not enough, limit it to search all posts and then 5th Gen forum only. That should be plenty.
