Just ordered my 2k2 SE 6-speed!!!
Well, I DID IT!!! Just placed my order for a 2002 Maxima SE 6-speed in Majestic Blue with a Black Cloth interior!!! I ordered with it the following options:
Bose Audio System
Meridian Edition
Front Side-Impact Air Bags
Power Glass Sunroof
Helical Limited Slip Differential
Carpeted Floor Mats
Splash Guards
I've been driving Honda products (happily I might add) all of my life, but they just don't offer what I want anymore... Namely a manual transmission with a V6 (NSX doesn't count ) and cloth interior. The Maxima is the closest to ideal I can come without blowing $50K on a BMW or Audi!!!
I'm getting the car for $100 over invoice (nice having a friend who owns Nissan, Audi, Honda, and Acura dealers ) and they said it'll be here in February...
I'll still hate to part with my Legend though . Best car Honda (Acura) ever made...
1994 Acura Legend L (Cloth) Sedan
-Alpine CHM-S620 CD Changer
-K&N Drop-In Replacement Air Filter
-Piaa Plasma Low Beams
-Philips BlueVision High Beams
Bose Audio System
Meridian Edition
Front Side-Impact Air Bags
Power Glass Sunroof
Helical Limited Slip Differential
Carpeted Floor Mats
Splash Guards

Unfortunately, the dealer I work with is in the Chicago area... Sorry I can't help ya out!
Nope, my Legend is an automatic... The 5-speed and 6-speed trannys that were available on the Legends weren't the greatest anyways(not "typical" Honda shift quality) and they were/are virtually impossible to find.

Yeah, I'm actually a repeat Legend offender My first one was an '87 L Leather 5-speed Sedan that I sold with 144,00 miles on it. The Legend I drive today is a '94 L Cloth Auto Sedan with 47,000 miles on it. I love the car, but I really want get back in to a stick shift. That plus the fact that the Legend doesn't have a warranty anymore and it is starting to show its age...
The 2k2 Maxima looks like the perfect car for me as far as I can tell... Stick, cloth, xenon, Bose, better handling It will be my first car that wasn't a Honda product, but from what I've read, it should pretty much equal the Honda in quality and reliability.
The Nissan of today reminds me of the Honda 10 of years ago... More of a performance oriented car that doesn't necessarily cater to the "average" driver. After Mr. Honda himself passed away, I feel they lost their "focus" a bit, but I think they are finally getting back on track... We'll see if they actually offer a stick shift and Nissan like HP in the new Accord/CL/TL though
I can't wait to get my Maxima though!!!
