Steering Wheel Mods, if you have done them...(no matter how small)

Two questions:

How hard is it to remove the controls from the steering wheel? I would like to take the trim pieces and paint them.

Has anyone found a NISSAN burger that is of equal dimension to the logo on the front?

to take the controls off the wheel, you gotta take the airbag off the wheel itself. Its not hard but you do need to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery just in case. You also need to have some security bits to remove the bolts that hold the airbag in. There are four bolts that hold the airbag in and then two screws on each of the controls. Hope this helps

GAAAAAAYYYYY

That answers that, though. Thank-you. I have the bit.

ALRIGHT, that still leaves our second question up for grabs.

i have an extra set of cruise controls and audio controls if you want to pick them up, paint them and just swap them out rather than take yours out, paint them, wait, and then put em back on
heres the link. feel free to make me an offer.

Are you implying you want a burger on your steering wheel as large as the one on the grille? I did get worried for a second, because I thought you had a 5.5 gen then I remembered, 5th gen. I'd be wary of attaching any kind of plastic or metal badge on my airbag cover. The last thing you want is the burger imprinted in your head or shot out when the airbag goes off.

I actually know someone who currently has a forehead scar in the shape of a "G". He thought it was a good idea to stick a plastic GT on the steering wheel of his Mustang.....then he rear-ended someone and took on the airbag like a man.

Edit: Even worse was that the person he hit was his ex-wife. lol

Nah, I know what you're talking about, though. I had considered just paintaing an overlay kit, but I am just going to paint the OE components.

I'll take my chances. I am looking for a burger equal in size to that of the embossed logo on the steering wheel; the grille logo is about 2 inches too large. Funny story!
