My buddy just got a 05 acura TL and i havent seen it yet not for a few more days at least but he's tellin me its gunna crush my car. What everyones thoughts on this

both auto i got nothin more then a catback exhaust his is stock too im hoping

 

whats the best or quickest mod to get my car up to pace with him hes pushing 270HP i just looked up i got maybe 230HP tops i need something to get me going a bit quicker i just got the catback exhaust thats it. im thinking cold air intake any good sites for that for cheap??? i cant lose my buddy hes one them people that ill have to hear about it everyday !!

You need to be careful bro... Threads like these are very sketch... This forum (mods) takes racing threads very seriously. Be SURE to state very clearly that this is for the TRACK only. You will get banned for sure with even hinting about street racing.


All that aside...TL all the way man. He will get you from start to finish. Not too much you can do in terms of mods that are quick to beat him. You will need to spend a decent amount of $ to get close. Sorry.

yeeea, you dont have 230... 222 regular and 227AE with only about 190WHP, yea your not looking so good, you can do a quick 75 shot of nitrous and you should get him... you can also pour sugar in his gas tank and i gurantee that u will win , other than that, he'll more than likely beat u by a good enough margin... i say dont run him and just let him feel good just saying he will beat u... oh and to answer your question, you can search Ebay for intake... had one in my 00GXE and it worked to perfection $40

 

 

Nop theres races every wednesday at dunn tire race track starting next week in lancaster its a 1/16th mile thats where we were gunna race NOT STREET!!! but ya im feelin the sugar in gas tank idea lol and just not racing him idea both very good ones jk

 

how about the N2o idea??? or you can leave the track and have to hear from him everyday of how he finished the race and all four of your tires never broke the starting line... my 5th gen was fun and i personally think its the best overall maxima made but its definately not the fastest... not faster than any of the TLs 02+ non type S 02's

 

Yeah like everyone said, TL will win.. It'd be closer if u had 02 or up..
