02 maxima se rotor or pad noise

i just put in new rotors in the front with brand new oem pads and when i took it for a ride you can hear the driver side rotor make a rubbing type noise lik its sliding against the pad....i took the wheel off and everything was the same exact way as the passenger side and that side is fine...i have done brakes many times on other cars and had not 1 problem...any advise?...also had a clutch sqeak when you push the clutch in it will sqeak...i greased it and went away then came back 2 days after i just greased it again and see wut happens...any advice on that 2?....thankx...

What kind of sound is it? Metal on metal? Pad on metal?

You may have bent the shield around the rotor and its rubbing on the rotor.

Also, Did you perform the bed in process? That may take car of some of the noise if its actually the pad on the rotor making noise.

^^ to me its the pad on the rotor rubbin or metl to metal but itsnt heard when braking jus rolling...i dont think its a bent sheild...and bed?

Normal, after a few miles it will stop. You prob could have compressed the piston a mm or 2 more hence the rubbing.

The bed in procedure is something to "bed in" the pads. I dont remember the procedure exactly but its something like make 6 stops from 40 mph with moderate braking, then 4 stops from 60 mph with hard braking. Make sure not to come to a complete stop though.

Do a search on here, or look on the box that the pads came in for the exact procedure.

to bed in yes, do like 5 runs from 40mph, hard brake to about 5mph-not coming to a complete stop. Then you can do 1 or 2 from 60 to 5mph(complete stop optional here) that should bed them nicely
