I'm 19 with an 02 SE. No tickets and i took this 15 min "safe teen driver" test. Full coverage with a $500 deductible on both comp and collision.

And i just called State Farm this morning to confirm. $430 for 6 months.

so $72 a month.

No problem man, that's what I'm saying we are really well priced with untouchable service, hopefully you'll never have to use it but still.

Lightsout,I do IT, not sales, but I'm going to send you a number and extension in your PM right now, its who I deal with exclusively, she's great. Anyone else who wants it, just PM me and I'll give you the extension, the general number is 1-800-242-6422, but PM me for the extension before you guys call!

Unfortunately for me, I am in the Dallas area, which sucks when it comes to car insurance rates. Lots of illegals and other uninsured drivers, plus horrific traffic congestion.

Through Nationwide, I am paying $94 a month for full coverage. I'm 47 and have no tickets on my record. When my son was down here, liability on the Cavalier he used to have was $175 a month.

Interesting story on the Cavalier, not 5 minutes after he bought new coverage on it, some lady in an Accord hit his car hard enough in the back end to total it.

27 yrs old no tickets or accidents

$56 a month for LIABILITY w/under/uninsured motorists through ALLSTATE

My car has 199,694 miles so dropping another $100 a month to get back like a est. $2200 insurance payout for the car doesn't make much sense.

Oh I'm in Southern California so everyone gets raped here for everything every single day. Food, Gas, Home/Auto insurance, Rents/Mortgages, Sales Taxes, Waste Removal (Trash), Annual Car registration renewal, Booze & Smokes, Parking, and the list goes on and on...

Well I know with the different models (SE,GLE,GXE) makes a huge difference on what you pay when you have an SE its a bit more that at least what the lady at State Farm said.

Who knows....... insurance is such a scam you pay, pay and pay ...... but when you really need them they crap all over you.

I have thought about switching from State Farm but I have been with them almost 20 years

FWIW, State Farm treated me well when my old car got totaled by a hit-and-run.

State Farm is actually pretty good. Never had a problem when I was with them, plus they are much easier to deal with when you get hit by someone who carries State Farm. I got rear-ended (yeah, I know, sounds like a personal problem ) by someone with State Farm and they had me in a rental car the next day and my car in the shop a day after that. They even called me a few days after I got my car back to make sure I was happy with the repairs.

Allstate, on the other hand, sucks hard to deal with. I've been hit 3 times by people with Allstate and they take forever to put you in a rental, usually at least a week before they even look at your car. Just delay, delay, delay.
