Hahaha, those guys talk so much smack in that forum. I like this post-- http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=53614 - it's some guy moaning about how he got beaten by a 2002 Max GLE. Funny how the same car can "kill" a 3.5 Altima but be beaten by the Max. They aren't very far apart in their performance. That guy sure did well in creative writing class.

Everybody love to talk sheeet. Honestly I feel the two cars are so close in performance that the better car is determined by the driver and the environment. "Street" racing is not a controlled environemt like a track. Road conditions, driver ability, obstacles such as other cars, etc. all efect the outcome. It always upsets me with stupid statements about road kills. It is obvious like a Civic DX beating a Max is complete BS but the CL-S performs too closely to the Altima for someone to make such an ignorant statement. As always: Take it to the track!

they also continue to talk some mad **** about our cars and our cars' engines in that same post, too bad they wont back it up on the street. and there is no way he took a 2k2 alty 3.5. could those cars (acura cl) even handle a 2k-2k1 max? im just doubting he took a 2k2 alty, unless he was sprayin some NOS or something. what kinda ****ed me off is the fact that they talk **** about our cars, thinkin that they are hott stuff or something. anyway, thats my 2 cents.

I had my usual "different drivers, different situations" post all ready then I read the end of the thread. He says he beat another V6 Altima by 5-6 carlengths. Complete bullsh*t.

I've already taken out the CL type S, even one with a CAI, I know you guys may think my 14.7 time is complete bull sh*T, but I dont care, all I have is a K&N filter, and AUTO. But I beat him 3 different times at the same track, the same night.

2k2 Maxima K&N box vs. 2k1 CL-S CAI
14.73 ----------------- 14.998
14.82 ----------------- 15.012
14.77 ----------------- 14.988

YES I WILL DO A COMPLETE VIDEOGRAPHY OF MY NEXT TRACK RUN. Complete with run down of my MODS, which will take 1 sec. since I only have a filter.

I will limit the video to 40 MB in MPEG format.

http://www.mpt.org/motorweek/reviews/rt2105.shtml

see the altima's time, its insane NO CL-S can keep up with that.

THEY are making **** up about nissan having to up displacement to bring up HP? blah blah nissan needs 3.5L V6 for only 255hp, we have 3.2L with 260, yes you do, but you are forgetting torque, the nissan 3.5L has 246 ft/lbs, what do they have? 232 ft/lbs!!!

Lets analyze even further......... ummmmmmmm, the pricey 3.5L RL ?????????? its honda's 3.5L V6!! with how much horse ??? 225hp and torque? 231 lb.-ft.!!! MUCH LOWER THAN THE MAXIMA 3.5L

Im not flaming honda, because my project car IS in fact a honda. Its a RS integra with an Integra GSR block, (B18C) with a custom turbo kit. best time of 12.989 on slicks. heh 1.8 L doing 12's now that fast .

I have pulled ridiculously away from a TL on the highway and street start. I have never had the opportunity to beat a CL-S, but i am confident with all my mods that i could walk one pretty bad the the highway, and beat one in the 1/4. Over priced hondas are nothing to be afraid of. We have not seen any of their engines up for an awards cause they suck yo_its_ok.
