what kind of headunit do you have? I would get the one meant for it instead of the universal one, swi-ps/swi-jack. As far as the install goes, you can look up the install on PAC's website. I know you have to clip 2 wires and use 2 resistors connected to a brown/white wire on the stock harness.

here's the directions:

Thanks for the link, still does not help a tremendous deal as there are only 3 of the 5 mentioned wires in it.

Anyone? Beuller...? Anyone...?

5 wires? you only need power, ground, and signal (white), none of the other ones are used.

Hmmmm...

The ironic and infurating thing is that I have hooked one of these up before in another members car using a link on here...thanks to IB, though, I cannot fawking find it.

One wire, eh? Two resistors?

If this is the case, then I think a xx-ohm and 1xx-ohm resistor are placed in series to the white wire of the PAC.

Sound right?

yep, 2 resistors in line between the white wire of the PAC and the brown/white wire on the OEM harness.

The resistor values should be in the directions.

Well, I'll give it a shot. The directions completley contradict what's being called for [here], but if my memory serves me correctly, I had used resistors at the previously stated value last time.

Wish me luck, and thanks for your help.

post up how it turns out, I know on my SWI-PS and SWI-JACK, they were exactly the same directions. Again, I'd recommend getting the PAC thats meant for your head unit, wired remotes are much more consistent than the RF or whatever the X uses.

56-ohm and 1xx-ohm resistor in series will NOT work attached to the brown/white wire. The adapter will not switch from steering wheel to HU in this configuration. Gotta give PAC a call tomorrow...
