i had my maxima for 2 months and i just found out that there isn't an antenna on the car(i know, i'm a little slow), but i have noticed that i'm not getting good reception either. has any1 else noticed this? is there a fix for it? like a new antenna or something, please help.

There is an antenna... do you see all those little speckle frogs sitting on a... wait, wrong direction here. Do you see the speckles on the rear window? They run across the top part of it... That's your antenna.

oh no

wtf I hope they didn't put the antenna inside any of the glass... typically that's the difference between a $175 windsheild and a $700 windsheild replacement. here in salt lake city, we generally replace our windsheild at least every year.

rear window (I think)...

I have no problem with reception.

I have read conflicting posts on this board as to whether tinting you rear causes minor or major reception problems...

Boys the antinna is on the rear window, its that big strip on top of the DFogger that looks like a big S . thats the antinna, I got tints, and I when I had my factory radio I didn't have a problem with reception. now I got OEM and Still no problems. if U have problems, get a stickon antenna. it looks like a little barcode and it sticks to the front windshield. it hids behind the Apiller and U cant' see it. just ask any place that installs Alarms. its also used for extending the range on the alarm remote.

I have better reception with my Max than I did with my Sentra and a rod antenna. Nissan was smart and put the antenna in the back window so shouldn't cost that much more to replace than normal (since that's where the rear defroster is anyway).

If you have a metalized tint... it will help with the reception... the tint is made with microscopic fibers of metal that act as receptors for the antena. and the defroster...

The guy that installed my tint actually

stopped the tint right before the antenna portion and the whole back window looks like its all tinted. I don't use the radio much but when I do I get good reception. I don't us it that often
