strange electrical problem. unlike anything i have read about.

recently my brake lights have been acting funny by not turning on every time i hit the brakes (which could be dangerous). So i looked into the fuse box and the fuse was blown for the brake lights. I went ahead and changed it and started the car, and the fuse instantly blew out as i turned the key. changed it again and this time it blew out and the car does not start anymore. It cranks, but does not start. And now when i get out of my car and touch it i get a mean shock. Its almost like my max is saying he doesn't like me anymore. I checked all the other fuses after this happened and they are still fine. even the fuses under the hood. any ideas?

For starters check and clean the positive and negative connections at the battery.

Check the wires in the trunk near the bulbs.

I would do some very simple test. First play with the ebrake sometimes the switch can get sticky and it will stay closed(light on). second check the wiring harness on each tail light make sure everything is good also check the connector throw some diaelectric grease in them. Check the master cylinder should be a sensor which indicated low brake fluid which will also make the indicator light come one. If non of that works then you have a short somewhere. hope that helps.
