cold start issues. 2000 se

So in the morning or when I start my car fresh from sitting for many hours my car seems to hesitate for the first 5-10 secs of acceleration. my buddy has the same car and he has it happen to him also. Is it a common issue or is it a specific fix for this anyone know?? thanks

How long do you let it warm up, if at all?

Do you have any problems with it stalling or RPMs jumping around? If not, it's prob not the IACV.

I am not sure about your problem but I read a threat on 2k's about the intake manifold gasket, when engine is cold the gasket does not close the gap properly and therefor air gets inside, once warmed up, the problem is gone, because the gasket expands.
Try to find it and see if it helps, I think if that is the problem the solution is to change to gasket for a new one but better if it is for 01/02.
Keep us updated.
