Power loss issue.... vias maybe???

So I bought my 00 Max SE about 2 months ago. It was sitting for several months due to being repossessed so it needed a little tlc when I got it. It had a little hesitation issue when I punched the gas. This worked itself out after a day or so. Now 2 months later my battery died cuz i left my lights on and after jumping it is doing it again. Also the transmission jumps around a little also when I punch it.

Basically if im driving 20-25 ish lets say and I wanna beat a yellow light and punch the gas the tranny downshifts and the engine makes the normal sound but there is a power loss....I was thinking vias but I can see the actuator move when i pull the throttle cable in the engine bay at 5000rpm. I am going to take the vias apart this weekend if it doesnt go away but anyone have any similar issues or reccomendations.

Exactly, just because you see the actuator move means nothing in regards to whether or not the power valve is actually moving.

Take it apart, fix it.

Curious

So I've been experiencing some similar symptoms and have been unable to find out what VIAS stands for through browsing the site's stickies (found the list of acronyms but didn't see this one in there). Would be very grateful if you would clarify.
