Need pic of black stock rims 17" SE

Does anyone have any pics of black or gunmetal stock 5.5 SE 17" rims. I am thinking of painting my stocks black or gunmetal any pics would help me make my mind up. If any pics on this color would help even more.

This looks great! Is that a matte black finish? And quick question, is powdercoating an option or painting is the way to go?

Powdercoating gives a better finish, but typically costs $50-125 per wheel. And, you need to remove and re-mount the tires, which can be $$ if you're putting the same tires back on.

Painting can look pretty good if you do it right, and costs probably about $30 for enough stuff for 4 wheels.

The reason a lot of painted wheels look bad is because the person didn't take the time. Mine look good, because I thoroughly removed all the old paint from the wheels, sanded them down, painted several basecoats, and several clearcoats. A lot of people just scuff up the wheel with sandpaper, then do 1-2 basecoats, and call it a day.

For some reason, I dont think it looks that appealing to paint the stock rims. Ive thought about it, but they have kind of a dull and plain look to me, but some people like that. Just not for me however. But if you are going to paint the rims, do it right and make it worthwhile. Dont make your max ugly I am planing on blacking out the headlights tho

Yeah, I agree that the painting can do wonders for the looks, as long as it is done right. Once I reach 15 posts, I am going to make a thread for suggestions to make my car look as sick as possible =P. I def. want to look into painting my rims! Great thread!
