As I was checking the front suspension tonight I noticed that the rear subframe has oil all over it. I'm just looking for confirmation that the rear valve cover gasket is possibly leaking.

 

The rear 'subframe' could get oil on it from anything.

Confirmation that it's 'possibly' leaking? Sure. It could be anything possibly leaking, though.

Have you bothered to try and even look for a source of the leak, or are you just assuming it's the RVC (for whatever reason)?

 

maybe he used the search function and saw a million threads about it on 5.5's. It would be a fair ASSumption anyways if his is that year.

 

They're more common to leak into the plug tube seals than outside the head, really.
